Mike and the Twisted Axle Car Club decided to “Make Gratiot Great Again!” by holding weekly Friday meets at the Lee’s Chicken (across from Macomb Mall) in Roseville, MI.
These events started in 2025, and it has pretty much grown every single week since.
This same location has been home to many different car gatherings over the years.
First Dooley’s years ago (usually with a nice turnout), then the Lucky Leprechaun and Double Shots bars (which is across the lot, and neither brought out many cars).
Today’s trip to this spot, our first time here for this year (but we’ve been to this location numerous times previously in the last decade), was met with 100+ vehicles, and they were still coming in as we were leaving.
Some cool GM G-Body’s were on display with the other assorted hot rods lining the many rows of vehicles.
(albeit only 1 Buick Regal this evening)
If you’re local around here (or even if not), you should give this one a go sometime.

There’s at least 8 different auto events going on for Saturday, so choose wisely where you want to attend. This means less cars at any one given show.
As June approaches, the turnouts will be even worse, as most Saturdays and Sundays from now until October have more than a dozen car shows (that we know of) happening all at the same time. And July… is insane!
(and still more and more events keep popping up to try and grab everyones attention)
Ought to be interesting to see which spots receive the most participants.
