White 1987 Buick Grand National Conversion

Here’s a submission from Gary Gerstner about his cool Turbo Buick!
(Gary is a photographer and contributor to Hemmings Muscle Machines).

I am the original owner of an ’87 White Buick Turbo T ordered in the fall of 1986. I was looking to buy one of these intercooled beauties, but I didn’t want a black car, and being as the Turbo T’s had basically the same performance package as the Regal Grand National, the white version fit the bill perfectly.

I did acquire all the Grand National emblems and rear spoiler, wanting to create a unique white Buick Grand National.
This Gbody Regal has lots of custom touches, including a black, red and yellow pinstripe running down the sides and onto the trunklid.

Other add-ons include GNX wheel flares, and the GNX’s side vents, which are mounted on the hood (creating a functional heat release).
C4 Corvette rims were installed using adapters, wrapped by Goodyear Gatorbacks (the same size the Buick GNX received).

The engine, trans, and exhaust have all been treated to special upgrades too.
The tan interior has a 145MPH speedo, a hurst shifter, and Turbo 6 logo floormats.

The car is named “Big N Bad” (and has a matching vanity plate on it).

.

Gary owns a few other rides as well, including a 1967 SS427/L88 Chevelle and a Monza Spyder (V8/4spd).
