Some 1984-1987 Buick Regal models were equipped with a front license plate bracket to hold a state issued front license plate.
(or alternatively a decorative one, in the case of those states that don’t require them, but where this part was installed onto these cars).
We found this item for sale and thought it would make a good reference post, should a Turbo Regal owner need this information about this specific part.
Shown is an original part from the dealer with mounting kit and GM instructions.
This appears to be for a dealer-installed part (instead of at the Buick factory).
Front License Plate Holder, Part Number 14102898 (according to instruction sheet).
The backside of the bracket has # 14103033 UPC Z-3599 PC/PBT on it.
The parts bag (installation hardware) has # 14103051 on it.
The date on the instruction sheet shows 26MR86, so probably sometime in 1986.
This license plate holder should fit all 1984-87 Buick Regal, T-Type, Turbo T, Grand National, Limited, and GNX models.
