So, this “Cool Car Rally” as it was called, held at the Senior Center at Dodge Park (40200 Utica Rd., Sterling Heights, MI) was probably the most disorganized event we’ve been to.
The advertisements for this event stated “parking will be STARTING at 5pm.”
What a joke.
We arrived a bit before 5PM, only to have to wait in line (about a dozen cars in front of us).
When the staff arrived (about 10 after 5), we were informed that their space was already filled…
Whoever put this show on needs to get their sh*t together.
Their was only spaces for about 50 cars here, so many car show peeps were forced to park in the regular lot (as did we) if they wanted to stay.
A friend of ours was in attendance (with his car), and when asked what time he got there, he said 4:30… and was guided right into the show area.
ORGANIZERS: If you are going to specify a set “we are letting people in at x time” – then stick to it!
There were A LOT of pissed off car guys that arrived at YOUR set time only to be turned away.
As for the show itself, it was small, about 50 cars.
This is definitely one we won’t be coming back to.
Not enough cars, and way too disorganized.

We spotted a couple GM G-bodies and a bunch of older GM A-body vehicles.
