Theft Deterrent Relay

RELAY NAME:

(some sellers use some form of these terms since they aren’t sure what to call it: Anti-Theft Deterrent Alarm Ignition Module Relay)
– HOWEVER, this relay DOES NOT control the ignition/starter portion, that relay is called: “starter interrupt relay”

PURPOSE OF RELAY:

controls horn & lights as part of the anti-theft deterrent system

TURNS ON-OFF / FUNCTIONS / USED WHEN:

when the theft deterrent controller is triggered, it turns this relay on (which in turn controls the horn & lights)

LOCATION IN VEHICLE:

behind dash, left side of steering column

ORIGINAL GM PART NUMBER:

1620783 (for most Turbo Regals) – (This relay has 6 connector pins)

black, or white, or yellow (depends on vehicle year)

red-white “A” (1 of 2 wires), goes to theft deterrent controller “A”
red-white “A” (1 of 2 wires), goes to in line fuse “A” (25 amp; hot at all times)

[2 wires on 1 terminal]
dark green “B” (1 of 2 wires), goes to horn
dark green “B” (1 of 2 wires), goes to horn

brown “C”, goes to rear lights (marker/park/tail/license)

red-white “D”, goes to in line fuse “B” (25 amp; hot at all times)

tan “E”, goes to headlights

black-white “F”, goes to theft deterrent controller “F”
