This is one of the better venues, at least as far as the surrounding views where the car show is actually being held at.
A bit of the country right in the middle of the city.
Amidst the wooded area, there’s grandstands for participants to sit under, another with a podium where the DJ belts out some oldies (or a speaker makes announcements), all surrounded by tall wooden fences.
We attended this weekly Thursday car meet on September 14, 2023.
There’s lots of neat customs at this one, but it’s kind of scattered on how many hot rods show up on any given day.
(just like most of these VFW, Big Boy & similar restaurant car shows are with attendees)
This specific date was about average on the scale, with somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 automobiles spread throughout the territory.
Not that that’s a real bad turnout, we’ve been to auto shows with much less, but it’s always awesome to see this place packed.
No Turbo Regals for us to ponder upon today (nor any G-bodies for that matter), but we did see some GM A bodied rides, as well as some older Buicks.
Along with a few other cool 4-wheeled wonders.
