M2 Machines Thank You Car Buick Grand National Diecast

.

There isn’t a whole lot of information about these rare diecasts online.
We’ve put together some details based on the minimal info that we could find (based on other previous years cars, plus the single Buick Grand National diecast we found for sale).

These rare diecasts were given by M2 Machines to dealerships, retail and licensing partners around the Holiday Season as a token of appreciation.

M2 has been doing this for years, with assorted featured automobiles.
The production runs vary from 100-200 pieces created for each years issue.

The 1:64 scale diecasts come in a clear plastic hard case, within a window box packaging.
There is sometimes a sticker on the case that states “Thank You Car” along with “Limited Edition” and the number of pieces created for this specific vehicle.

The Thank You Buick Grand National edition, based on the Sgt G Body Buick Grand National (which came out in early 2025), must have been passed out for the 2024 Holiday season (in December)- previous to the Sgt G Body being released.

The car is gray in color, and says on the drivers side (only) of it: “Maj. Thank You” (Major Thank You). The rear window also states those words.
This of course, is a play on words for the Sgt G Body name that they called the regular versions of this diecast.

At the bottom of the door, there is a number 24 (which on the Sgt G Body car is number 87, representing the vehicles year). It’s unclear what the 24 represents.

Other than those 3 items, the cars are the same (including shark decals and the red stripe on the trunk).

The base of the display says: 1987 Buick Grand National – Thank You Car, along with the numbers S53 and 25-13 (which is slightly different from the Sgt G Body car version).

The one car we saw for sale (which is where these pics came from), says it’s in “loose condition.” Meaning it has the base and the upper clear case, but does not include the outer box packaging.
The seller (located in China) is asking $99.99 (plus $5 shipping) for it.

This diecast is definitely the most rare M2 vehicle produced in their Buick Grand National line (even more so than ANY of the chase cars created).

This is the only one we’ve seen, that’s how rare it is!
(and during our research, we only saw a few of the other Thank You cars that were created in the past!)
