Before the advent of the modern “small attached pin on the back” type of pins, the way they created commemorative pins previously was with a long stick affixed to the design.
These stick pins didn’t have a securing cap on them like the newer ones do, they just literally “stuck into” wherever you put them (hats / shirts / etc), and are held in place by the long rod.
Most of these styles were made pre 1960 and feature various Buick logos and vehicles from the 1900s.
