GNX XRAY

Buick GNX XRay

GNX XRAY

The GNX “X-RAY” car was created by a man named Rick Hunt.
Rick worked for ASC and helped design some of the parts for the real GNX’s and the program.

Once the last GNX rolled off the assembly line Rick asked GM if he could buy ALL the GNX parts to make one for himself.
They said yes, so he took his white Buick T-Type and installed ALL of the original GNX parts on his car.
Since it was white with the black out package he called it X-RAY because the real GNX’s are all black & his car is white.
The “X-RAY” Regal is as close to any actual GNX that is out there, except that it isn’t (officially, factory) numbered (although the car does have plate “GNX 002” in the proper spot on the dash).

.

UPDATE: Rick does drive the car pretty frequently, and makes appearances at various racing events and local (Michigan) car shows. You can see some recent photos (Aug 2022) of the GNX XRAY car here: 2022 woodward wednesday MI buick meetup
