The Chesterfield Gratiot Cruise (formerly the North Gratiot Cruise, now officially, “Macomb St. Clair Mega Cruise”) for years pretty much marked the end of the major car cruise / show season.
This year however, there are a few more that continue on right to the end of October.
[ the ARMOR Great Pumpkin Classic Car Show is October 3rd ]
[ the Packard Proving Grounds annual Fall Open House is on the 25th ]
[ a few other smaller shows are taking place as well throughout October ]
Depending on the upcoming weather in the next few weeks, this could be the last time most people bring their hot rods out for 2026, making this a nice cruise to participate (&/or spectate) in.
Tons of GM G-body vehicles are always present (including at least a dozen Turbo Regals today), strutting their stuff down Gratiot Avenue and residing in the many nearby parking lots.
Lots of A-body cars also make their presence known.
