TURNS ON-OFF / FUNCTIONS / USED WHEN:

lights up upon startup
lights up when there is an issue with the engine

LOCATION IN VEHICLE:

instrument cluster, RH side of panel, 4th light down from the top

ORIGINAL GM PART NUMBER:

PART BASE COLOR:

yellow warning light (but has a white bulb behind the lens)

CONNECTOR PLUG COLOR (HARNESS SIDE):

white

NUMBER OF WIRES ATTACHED (HARNESS SIDE):

2

COLOR & PURPOSE OF (HARNESS SIDE) WIRES:

CONNECTOR 1: pink/black in from GAGES fuse
CONNECTOR 2: 2 brown/white out to aldl terminal D, and A5 on the ECM.
[ NOTE that different years/models may only have 1 brown/white out wire connected to connector 2 but may split off after that ]
{ OR yellow (in/out of bulb) wires on connector 2 ]

OTHER NOTES:

The “SES” light (Service Engine Soon), (AKA “check engine”), has a white socket, and is not technically connected to the instrument cluster like all of the other tell tale lights are, it has it’s own 2 separate wires attached.
