(see below)

COLOR & PURPOSE OF (HARNESS SIDE) WIRES:

WIRES & FUSES ON THE FUSE BOX:

cruise 5 amp, pink-black wire (could be a blue wire on other years), goes to (junction) that powers cruise switch (on multifunction lever)

rlys fuse, 5 amp, brown wire, goes to (junction) that powers low speed coolant fan relay, high speed coolant fan relay, power master brake relay

inst lps fuse, 5 amp, dark green, goes to dash dimmer switch (rotary dial), chime module (without twilight sentinel),
gray wire goes to: (analog) tach/boost gage, digital dash gage cluster, console shift indicator light, ashtray light, radio light, defogger light, instrument cluster light, tach light, dash plate light, HVAC light
The “LPS” terminal is fused by this circuit.

ccci fuse, 10 amp, pink-black wire (might be black-pink for other years), goes to ccci (ignition module)

a/c fuse, 25 amp, brown wire, goes to (junction) that powers HVAC control head (with a/c – otherwise goes to blower switch), trunk release switch
The “IGN3” terminal is fused by this circuit.

ecm-sol fuse, 10 amp, pink-black wire, goes to (junction) that powers brake (pedal) switch, waste gate solenoid, fuel vapor canister purge solenoid, coolant fan delay relay, EVRV, a/c cutout relay

fp/inj fuse, 15 amp, pink-black, goes to (junction) that powers oil pressure switch, fuel pump relay, fuel injectors (using brown wires)

wiper fuse, 25 amp, white wire, goes to (junction) that powers wiper switch

stop-haz fuse, 20 amp, orange, goes to (junction) that powers: hazard flashers, brake (pedal) switch

st blt / acc fuse, 20 amp, pink-black wire, powers up: (rear) defogger control, chime module
The “IGN1” terminal is fused by this circuit.

tail lp fuse, 20 amp, orange wire, goes to (junction) that powers head light switch, twilight sentinel

radio fuse, 10 amp, yellow wire, goes to radio

turn b/u fuse, 20 amp, dark blue wire, goes to (junction) that powers turn flasher, twilight sentinel, gear selector switch (which controls backup lights)

clk-cig fuse, 20 amp, orange wire, goes to (junction) that powers HVAC a/c control head, power antenna relay, chime module, security indicator (dash light), digital dash gage cluster, LH & RH power door lock switches, opera lights, (Regal Limited) interior (lower) door lights, dome and reading lights, footwell (courtesy; under dash) lights, trunk light, RH vanity mirror light, cigar lighter, glove box light, engine compartment light, radio
The “BAT” terminal is fused by this circuit.

pwr brk fuse, 30 amp, orange wire, goes to (junction) that powers: coolant fan delay relay, powermaster brake relay

ecm-ign fuse, 10 amp, pink-black wire, goes to (junction) that powers ccci, maf, esc, ecm

gages fuse, 20 amp, pink-black, goes to (junction) that powers brake switch, instrument cluster (2 wires [analog] or 3 wires [digital cluster]), check engine light (SES), VSS, tach/boost gage, volts indicator, fuel gage

.
CIRCUIT BREAKERS:

WDO; power windows sunroof 30 amp, pink wire, goes to (junction) to sunroof switch, LH & RH power window switches

pwr accy (power seat door locks heated back light feed theft deterrent), 30 amp, orange-black wire that powers defog control,
black-orange wire, goes to (junction) to (orange-black wire) to LH power seat, and (orange-black wire) to door lock relay

.

There’s 3 “ign” (ignition) slots; these are hot only with ignition on

There’s 4 “bat” (battery) slots; these are constant hot as they are direct connect to battery:

(red connector?) orange-black wire, powers up: power up door lock relay, LH power seat switch
[this is fused by the pwr acc circuit breaker]

(black connector?) black wire, goes to radio capacitor (self grounding)
[this is fused by the cig-clk fuse]

.

The hazard / emergency flasher unit is also installed in the fusebox.

.

OTHER NOTES:

1986/1987 fuse boxes differ from earlier years (placement of flasher for one thing)
